To increase its market share, Harmon AutoGlass requested an advanced sales skills training program be created for field representatives and an advanced service skills training program be developed for in-store staff. The resulting Power of One Program helped increase sales over 30%.

I just wanted to share a few thoughts regarding our Sales Representative Training Session last week. The main ideas that I couldn't get out of mind is RELEVANCE and BEING APPLICABLE. This is the ﬁrst program that I can recall that is relevant to what we do on a daily basis. This takes into account the issues that we deal with (i.e.-appointment setting, territory planning, call planning, handling objections).
What also is clear is that this is not another canned sales program. As you stated earlier, Jack Mateffy has involved himself in our business. He hasn't given us some 9-step program to increase sales. I can't imagine that there will be anyone that leaves these training sessions that wonders how they can apply the material to their jobs. I'm excited about the opportunity
to meet with the other reps in our region to share the program with them. Raising the bar to this level is just another point of differentiation that makes Harmon the best!
